IDF forces clash with Palestinians at village near Nablus; 16-year-old boy dies after being shot in stomach, another teen in critical condition; Army says it used crowd dispersal means to quell rioters heading to settlementA 16-year-old boy was killed Saturday and a 19-year-old Palestinian sustained grave head wounds in clashes between IDF troops and Palestinians in a village near Nablus.
Army officials said dozens of rocks were hurled at the forces, which were forced to respond with crowd dispersal means. However, doctors in Nablus said the killed teen was hurt by live ammunition.
The killed boy, identified as Muhammad Qadus, sustained grave wounds after being shot in the stomach and was rushed to a Nablus hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to the Palestinians, settlers attempted to attack their village and were met by local villagers, before IDF forces intervened in the clash and fired at the Palestinians.
However, IDF officials presented a different version to Ynet, noting that Palestinian residents were rioting in the area in an attempt to reach the settlement of Bracha and did not clash with settlers.
The IDF made use of crowd dispersal means, including rubber-coated bullets, but did not fire live ammunition, the army said.

Military officials did confirm that one of the Palestinian rioters was hurt in the clashes.
According to leftist activists, the Palestinians arrived at the site in order to protest and work their agricultural land in the village. Soldiers at the scene fired live ammunition at the protestors, the activists said, prompting clashes that lasted for almost two hours.
The Palestinians said that Border Guard police officers later arrived at the village in two jeeps and detained three people, prompting the clashes to renew for another hour, before subsiding again. At one point, the Palestinians reportedly hurled stones at Border Guard forces at the entrance to the village, with troops firing back and hurting the two teens.
Earlier Saturday, Palestinians hurled stones and burned tires near a roadblock in a refugee camp in northern Jerusalem. IDF and Border Guard forces arrived at the site and dispersed the rioters using tear gas.
